IBS Engineer Project Engineer Systems Engineer

A Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, development,
implementation, and ongoing support of process control and
automation systems for continuous and batch processes. This includes
but is not limited to:
- Design, develop, and implement software systems in support
of process control and automation systems for continuous and
batch processes according to Emerson, CDI and/or customer
standards.
- Perform the following in support of automation projects:
develop graphics, code, I/O configuration, and control logic,
process start-up support, produce reports and implement
reporting solutions, produce control systems drawings and
documents, provide loop tuning and advanced control services,
perform software upgrade services, perform I/O check-out and
certification, and install hardware and software.
- Perform data management tasks and create data management
solutions that include back-ups, disaster recovery plans,
historical data capture, and data integration.
- Provide technical sales support and technical engineering
support to internal customers including Account Managers,
Solutions Consultants, Project Managers, and others.
- Travel to customer sites throughout the state of Virginia
which may include overnight travel, extended hours, nights, and
weekends.
- Timely and accurate submission of status updates, time, and
expenses including estimates of work remaining if applicable.
WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in specific industrial applications of process
control systems such as boilers, pulp and paper, food and
beverage, etc.
- Experience in industrial maintenance and/or process control.
- Experience writing code and developing applications for
process control.
- Experience writing reports and managing databases is
desired.
- Commissioning and tuning experience is desired.
- 4-year college degree in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical
Engineering, or equivalent experience.
