IBS Engineer Project Engineer Systems Engineer

An IBS Engineer is responsible for providing after market
services and support for our systems customers. This includes but is
not limited to:
- Perform system preventative maintenance to ensure high
availability and optimal performance of customer systems. This
includes database back-ups, power and grounding checks, network
communications loading, cabinet cleaning, filter changes, PC and
server performance checks, installing patches, installing
hot-fixes, and more.
- Help our customers solve technical problems including:
diagnose and correct computer network communications issues,
process control hardware and software issues, field
instrumentation and asset management systems issues.
- Provide engineering services for system configuration
efforts such as the development of graphics, I/O configuration,
I/O check-out, and control logic for automation projects.
- Perform services for customers to help them get the most out
of their systems including: alarm analysis, software upgrades,
loop tuning and advanced control services, customer training and
consultation, and install hardware and software as required to
support automation projects.
- Provide technical sales support and technical engineering
support to internal customers including Account Managers,
Solutions Consultants, Project Managers, and others.
- Produce clear, timely written documentation for all on-site
work and phone support as required including time and expense
submission.
- Travel to customer sites throughout the state of Virginia
which may include overnight travel, extended hours, nights, and
weekends.
WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in industrial maintenance and/or process control
including experience with field instrumentation.
- Experience using, installing, and maintaining Microsoft
operating systems.
- Experience installing and maintaining industrial networks,
troubleshooting DCS and/or PLC systems, and electrical system
installation and troubleshooting experience is desired.
- Associates Degree in Process Instrumentation, Controls,
Electronics or equivalent work experience is required.
- A Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering degree is
preferred.
